The new ChkBarcode version 3.0 is now available. New features in this major release of the barcode verification system include among others:

  • NEW: GUI completely revised
  • NEW: Detection of EAN-8 and EAN-13 with a new, more robust search algorithm
  • NEW: Measurement of 1D and 2D codes improved, including new algorithm for determining the quiet zones
  • NEW: Numerous improvements to increase the compuation speed and reduce the memory requirement
  • NEW: Repair mechanism for malformed PDF input files. Under Settings > PDF > Render flags (Detection) and Settings > PDF > Render flags (Measurement) the new flag attempt repair turns on the repair algorithm of the Adobe PDF library.
  • Update: Latest Adobe PDF Library version 18.0.4PlusP2k
  • Fix: Fixed different bugs on the basis of example PDFs which caused that some codes were not found or not decodable
ChkBarode: Check barcodes in PDF artworks

ChkBarcode checks quickly and securely all barcodes directly in your ready-to-print PDFs. The verification software ChkBarcode finds 1D and 2D barcodes for you, determines the type, reads the contents and measures the quite zone, checks the dimensions, measures the barcode elements and determines the bar width reduction (BWR).
